CONTENT:
History Now, a project of the Gilder Lehrman Institute, is a quarterly online journal for history teachers and students. The site features lesson plans, articles by historians, and more.
SITE DESIGN:
This well-organized site has a typical magazine layout with headlines and images that link to the full articles.

 

REVIEW:
History Now is a great find for history teachers, as it provides resources and materials for teaching such topics as the Great Depression, the Constitution, slavery, and the Supreme Court. The journal is published quarterly and the online materials are free for use by the general public. Teachers will find standards-based lesson plans for high school, middle school, and elementary school students, as well as articles, essays, and more. Additionally, visitors can get their history questions answered by using the Ask the Archivist feature.
