CONTENT
This resource from the United Kingdom offers parents, teachers and caregivers interesting features and practical advice on encouraging and helping children learn to read.
SITE DESIGN
The site has a simple, uncluttered design that can be navigated by selecting a category from the left sidebar, using the search facility, or choosing a featured article from the main page.

 

REVIEW
Parents, teachers, and caregivers will want to check out Kids and Reading for some great tips and advice for helping youngsters learn to read. A range of topics are covered such as different learning styles, steps in learning to read and the importance of learning to read plus tips on how to help your child, how to build a child’s library, and the power of kids teaching kids to read. There is also a section on special concerns that includes articles on Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism, dyslexia, English as a second language, and struggling readers.
