REVIEW:
Information and resources at this site will be useful to educators and students as well as the general public. The Get Fit America section of the site has a wealth of free resources for keeping fit and healthy such as health and fitness tips, healthy recipes, a fitness library of exercises for creating your own workout, discussion boards for posting questions and answers and much more. A section especially geared toward youth fitness features information fact sheets, youth fitness questions and answers, articles on what parents can do and teaching kids to effectively exercise, and the Operation FitKids Curriculum. This curriculum (a $99.95 value) is available for free to educators as a public service of ACE. The curriculum has seven lessons that are geared to grades 3-5 and teach youngsters “the dangers of being overweight and the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle”. The entire program can be downloaded in PDF format. Additionally, there are links to fitness headlines, ACE News and a fitness tip of the day.
