Share

Ghosts and goblins are about. Witches walk among us. Princes, princesses, fairies, and knights fill schools and classrooms. Is there any doubt that Halloween is here? If you are not quite ready to celebrate in "spooktacular" fashion -- or even if you are -- Education World shares five Halloween treats, lessons to put you into the "spirit" of the season! Included: Five lessons that have students using their reading, writing, and research skills -- and more!

The end of October brings cooler temperatures, a bountiful harvest, and one of childhood's favorite celebrations -- Halloween! This year, add excitement to the seasonal fun and frolic in your classroom with some of these online resources:

Watch BrainPop's Halloween movie to introduce your students to the history of the holiday in a light and entertaining way! Play online games, learn how to make crafts, and find cool coloring pages at Ben and Jerry's Halloween. And Halloween Fun at Kids Domain has games, puzzles, safety information, crafts, haunted stories, and more to share with your students!

But there is more to Halloween than tricks and treats!
