Concept Containers

If you have limited storage space or containers, here’s a compact system for keeping lesson activities and photocopies organized and easily accessible: Label sturdy, colorful magazine file boxes with the major concepts studied in a subject area.

Just before you’re ready to teach a chapter, pull out the folder and make copies of the pages you know you want to use. Keep the class sets of copies inside the section for that chapter so everything is together.

About the Author Angela Powell has been an educator for nine years. She worked for the first five years of her career in Washington, D.C., and currently teaches third grade in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
