The Math Trail
The Math Trail gives students the opportunity to participate in an authentic learning experience by exploring their own community and creating math problems that relate to it. The project, based on real-world problem solving, invites submissions from around the world. GRADE LEVEL: Pre-K-12

The Sun Times, The Global Sun/Temperature Project
"How does your geographic location affect average daily temperature and hours of sunlight?" Schools from around the world participate in this collaborative project as students measure the local temperature and record the number of minutes of sunlight per day over a specific week. This data is then posted to the web site so that the students can compare and contrast their results with other classes from all over the world.

Down the Drain
Do you know how much water you use every day? Would you be surprised to learn that the average American uses between 80-100 gallons of water per day? Do you think people in other parts of the world use more or less water than Americans? Well, this collaborative project will help you find the answers to these questions.

MathMagic! MathMagic is a project that pairs up teams of students over the Internet to solve math questions. Students may participate in any of four grade-level categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. GRADE LEVEL: K-12
Hewlett Packard Email Mentor Program The HP E-Mail Mentor program creates one-to-one mentor relationships between HP employees (worldwide) and 5-12th grade students and teachers throughout the United States to help motivate students to excel in math and science. HP employees also mentor teachers who seek to incorporate current technology into the classroom. GRADE LEVEL: K-12
