American Fidelity Assurance and their Educational Services Division (AFES)

American Fidelity Assurance and AFES are dedicated to providing the education community with "Financial Solutions for a Complex World." AFES is a company who understands the needs, wants, and dreams educators have for their future.

AFES is solely dedicated to servicing the educational market, their primary business since 1960. While educators are guiding the leaders of tomorrow, AFES is providing solutions to current and future financial needs.

American Fidelity realizes that the education community's needs are changing both inside and outside the classroom. To assist in meeting those needs, AF became a "founding" sponsor of Education World and specifically the Financial Planning section. They demonstrate their dedication by providing solutions to long-term financial security and daily classroom needs.

Gary Tredway, president of AFES said, "Education World offers us an opportunity to reach out to the education community in a very practical way. We are proud to be a founding sponsor and to be associated with the best education Web site on the Internet. This tool provides our company a lot of positive exposure that is not available from any other avenue."

CISCO Systems

CISCO Systems has been a long-term supporter of Education World and many other education programs.

Sponsorship of Education World's weekly COOL SCHOOL program and the annual COOL SCHOOL of the YEAR (see more details at /cool_school/csoy/), are examples of their support to education. CISCO, the world's leader in Networking, also provides many other products and services specifically to the education community. Here are some examples of CISCO education-specific programs:

The Cisco Education Network (http://www.cisco.com/edu)

Where you can find out about Cisco's education programs, see upcoming events, learn about using the Internet in schools, and find out about starting a Cisco Networking Academy.

DISNEY

Adults and children alike seem to be attracted to the "wonderful-world of Disney." Therefore, shopping for specialty items from Disney's array of products on-line makes life a little easier. Rather than make a special trip to the mall, Education World's users can find their favorite Disney and Mickey Mouse items with just a click of their own mouse.

Disney also reaches-out to the education community through their Edu-Station, classroom ideas, education calendars, school features and more. They also have a family-specific site with fun for the entire family. Another popular program is their prestigious "Teacher of the Year" award on the Disney channel.

FirstUSA

Education World and FirstUSA teamed-up to bring educators something we can all use - MONEY. These monies are available through the new "Grants for Educators" program. These grants are funded through utilization of the new Education World VISA Card.

Dave Webster from First USA said, "As the issuer of the Education World credit card, First USA is proud to support educators in a very tangible way. The Education World Visa supports education by contributing funds to the "Grants for Educators" program each time the card is used."
