The student Webmasters and contributing students' work on 1998's COOL SCHOOLS continue to amaze the staff at Education World.

These creative and hard-working students are producing cutting-edge community and family communication centers. Their work even tops the creations of some Web design companies.

Schools receiving this honor are recognized for their outstanding school Web site. Furthermore, these phenomenal Web sites are created, maintained and developed by the students - demonstrating teamwork, technology skills and communication capabilities in the form of a tangible product for the entire world to see on the Internet.

These schools range from Primary to Secondary, but all have an integral part in taking their education and their school to the next level.

The COOL SCHOOL program is proud to span the nation and reward these high-achieving, Web savvy students. 1998 marked the year that every state in the United States had at least one recognized COOL SCHOOL honoree.

Most local and regional media, around the country, featured these award-winning schools and students with special highlights on television, newspaper or radio. It is refreshing to see such good news in education.
