AP Central
The 4-1-1 on Advanced Placement.
Grade Level: 9-12, Advanced, Professional

http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/Controller.jpf

CONTENT:
AP Central was created in association with the College Board as a resource for AP professionals but the information would be useful to students who are taking the courses and their parents as well. Registration is required for full use but it is free.
AESTHETICS:
The site has a nice clean layout with a few well-placed graphics and wide margins that makes for easy reading.
ORGANIZATION:
Both a top and left side navigation menu on all pages point users to the main areas of the site. Roll the mouse over the side menu items and a submenu for that section appears.

REVIEW:
AP Central is a rich resource of information for teachers of AP courses, their students, and those students' parents. Students and parents can find information on the expectations of the College Board and find samples of free-response essay questions and grading rubrics as well as exam tips and testing calendar. There is a course description for each of the thirty-four courses that includes information about the course and exam, sample syllabi, and teacher tips. Other teacher resources include reviews of classroom resources, a searchable database of professional development opportunities, a library of AP publications including released exam questions, and information about state and federal support for the program. Teachers can also exchange teaching methods and materials with other educators in the discussion forums. Included is a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions. If you can't find what you're looking for, the site welcomes questions from users.
