This site contains a wealth of information and resources on the history of flight. It was developed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' flight on December 17, 1903. Essays, multimedia, and background information allows "students of all ages to examine how our world has changed as a result" of this historic flight. In the "Kid's Fly Zone" students can view or download movies of the Wrights' flying machines, a chronicle of flight, aviation week or special collections. Educators will find additional background information and resources on the history of the Wright Brothers and the history of flight as well as a section on sights and sounds that can be used in their classrooms.
