Oceans!
Water, water everywhere! This week Education World dives under the sea and peers at what lies beneath the waves with lesson plans and great sites to teach about the ocean!
This week:

Surf's up! This week, Education World offers ten lessons that offer students the opportunity to explore the largest bodies of water on Earth: oceans! Included: Activities that involve students in creating time lines and posters, learning about ocean mysteries and legends, and much more!

Education World's Great Sites for Teaching About ... page highlights Web sites to help educators work timely themes into their lessons. Internet educator Walter McKenzie selected the ten sites listed here, which are among the best on the Web for teaching about oceans.
- Dive Into Ocean Books!
Each year, book publishers introduce an ocean of new resources relating to the sea and the creatures that live in it. This week, Education World reviews a handful of the latest books, including general titles about sea creatures and specific titles about sharks and dolphins.
